Title: Cooperative Control for Consensus of Multi-agent Systems with Applications in Formation Control

　　Abstract: Discontinuous cooperative control protocols are proposed for the consensus of multi-agent systems with directed and switching sensing (communication) topologies and time delays. By introducing a new design for nonlinear cooperative control gains, multi-agent system consensus can be guaranteed in the presence of switching topologies and time delays. Simulation and hardware experimental results for formation control applications will be presented.
　　Biography: 楊天宇教授2001年畢業于浙江大學, 獲信息工程學士及竺可楨學院UT斯達康獎學金; 2004年獲美國中佛羅里達大學（University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida）電氣工程博士; 2005年1月加入安柏瑞德航空大學 (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida) ；現任電氣工程終身職正教授。主要研究方向包括自適應信號處理，無線通信，多智能體系統的分布式控制。楊天宇教授的研究多次獲得美國空軍研究實驗室AFRL（Air Force Research Lab）任務導向的自主機器智能（Machine Intelligence for Mission Focused Autonomy）項目及美國宇航局（NASA）的資助。他于2013年任美國科學院國家研究委員會（National Research Council）高級研究員，由空軍科學研究辦公室（Air Force Office of Scientific Research）資助. 他曾兩次擔任空軍研究實驗室/信息部(AFRL/RI）訪問學者研究員 (Visiting Faculty Research Fellow)。在專業期刊及會議中發表論文70余篇。獲得的獎項包括: 2017年Abas Sivjee杰出科研獎，2010年IEEE佛羅里達分會杰出工程教育獎（IEEE Florida Council Outstanding Engineering Educator Award），以及2014年IEEE國際電子信息技術大會（IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology）最佳論文獎。他是 “電路，系統和信號處理”期刊（Springer）的副編輯（Associate Editor）；國際信息物理系統期刊的副編輯（Associate Editor）；于2011至2012年擔任IEEE Daytona分會主席；從2012至2015年擔任中國旅美科技協會佛州分會首任執行副主席。
