2017年3月16日，我校在聞廳二樓報告廳隆重舉行2017年碩士學位授予儀式。學校校長、學位評定委員會主席林建忠，學校黨委副書記徐涌金、陶偉華，副校長俞曉平、宋明順、葛洪良出席授予儀式并在主席臺就座。學校12個研究生教育學院院長、分管院領導，導師代表，研究生教學秘書、研究生輔導員和2017年（春季）授予碩士學位的研究生及其家長和親朋好友參加了授予儀式。授予儀式由校黨委副書記陶偉華主持。
校學位評定委員會主席、校長林建忠教授在授予儀式上代表學校向畢業研究生表示了熱烈祝賀，并用全英文做了致辭：
“Good morning! Ladies and gentlemen, teachers and students.
Today is held here the graduation ceremony for postgraduates, the ceremony of master degree granting. First of all, on behalf of the university, I’d like to express my warm congratulations on the postgraduates, and express my sincere gratitude as well to the supervisors, teachers and all the staff for your excellent work.
I’m in a complicated mood now. On the one hand, I feel happy and proud of you for your achievements. On the other hand, I feel a bit unwilling to say goodbye to you. Before your departure, I’d give you several key words.
The first word is “graduation”. Graduation has mainly two meanings. One is “to be granted an academic degree”, the other is “to advance a high level of achievement or skill”. Your graduation means that you’ve finished your postgraduate study in the university. Meanwhile, it represents a new beginning of your “life study” in the society. I hope that you will regard today as a starting point on your way of life and career, to pursue life-long study, to explore new knowledge, to broaden your horizon, to make further progress and to advance to a new level.
The second word is “master”. Master also has two meanings. In addition to Master degree, it could mean an expert and a person who controls over something. You get a master degree, which indicates that you’ve mastered certain academic knowledge and capabilities. But I hope that you will be a master in life, and hope you will draw wisdom from traditional Chinese culture. To be a master in life is compatible and complemental with being an academic master.
The third word is “integrity”which means honesty, sincerity and credit. The thirst for success will easily lead you to go astray from the correct path, thus “integrity” should be your moral code. Only with this moral code could you succeed in your future life and career full of chances, attractions, challenges and risks as well. There’s an old Chinese saying which goes, if one loses his or her credit for one time, he or she will lose it for the whole life. There’s a similar proverb in English: honesty is the best policy. I hope you will adhere to the code of integrity, not only being honest persons yourselves, but serving as role models for others.
The fourth word is“quietness”. Be quite is the purification of one’s soul and the dignity in one’s manners. Buddhists believe that quietness in heart can generate intelligence and wisdom. Quietness is the ultimate terminal for many ancient Chinese philosophers and scholars. Only those quiet persons can reach the state of innocence, bliss and ultimate happiness. Otherwise, even if you earn much money and great wealth, you will not feel true happiness at all.
The fifth word is“relief”. In your life and career, you will encounter many failures, difficulties and digressions. How will you deal with them? Some may indulge themselves in regret and annoyance. But it is useless and will devalue your life. The wise solution is to relieve yourselves. I hope you will cultivate yourselves with more life interests, so that when one interest has been suppressed, you can activate another interest, thus your world will be illuminated all the time.
The last word is “alma mater”. We call it “mother school”. In China Jiliang University you’ve lived and studied for several years. All the roads on campus, pavilions, lake, classrooms and library have witnessed your study, your love, your tears and your dreams. I hope that you will apply what you’ve learnt to the life and career in the future. I also expect you will visit mother school every now and then.
My dear students, from now on, you will leave your teachers and classmates. A new window has opened for you, a new road is extending under your feet and you will try to prove yourselves with your own efforts. At the time of parting with you, I wish each of you a very promising future and good health. Wherever you are, remember you are CJLU graduates and CJLU will back you forever.Thank you!”
校學位評定委員會副主席，副校長俞曉平代表學校宣讀了2017年（春季）授予碩士學位研究生名單，共有177名研究生獲碩士學位。
經管學院張月義老師作為導師代表發言。他分享了作為一名導師指導研究生的心得體會，同時告誡同學們一定要注意四大差異：社會和學校差異很大，老板和老師差異很大，做人和做事差異很大，理想和現實差異很大。他希望畢業的研究生們能夠勇于承擔社會責任，常懷感恩之心，不斷學習，開拓創新，為社會做貢獻，為母校爭光。
機電學院研究生錢璐帥代表全體碩士學位獲得者對母校和老師們的辛勤培育表示衷心的感謝和崇高的敬意，對親朋好友的支持表示了感謝，表示將始終秉承“精思國計，細量民生”的校訓，銳意進取，不斷創新，為國家和社會的發展做出自己的貢獻，做優秀計量人。
在歡快的音樂聲中，主席臺校領導為碩士學位獲得者頒發學位證書、撥正流蘇并合影留念。校學位評定委員會主席、校長林建忠教授還單獨與畢業生合影留念。
